Shipping & Handling Policy
The day your order ships, you will receive an e-mail containing your order number, items and tracking number.UPS or FedEx sends tracking information to you via email. On the day that your order is scheduled for delivery, you can leave a note on the door instructing the driver to leave the package without obtaining a signature. Please note that this does depend on the specific driver and some will not leave the package. You may also contact your local UPS or FedEx office to file a signature waiver for all packages delivered to your home. Please note that, depending on weather conditions, if it is Live stock going to hot climates or very cold climates, the package WILL NOT be left at the door.
Packages exceeding a value of $500.00 will require a signature upon delivery. Orders valued at $1,000 or more will require a signature every time and no exceptions are allowed. Please inform us if no one will be available to sign so we can make arrangements for the package to be held for pick up requiring you to furnish ID and signature.
Whenever possible we will use a flat rate shipping method based on your total purchase. Rates apply to continental U.S. shipped via USPS Mail, UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. Rates can start as low as $4.99 International Orders are calculated based on country destination, weight and carrier used.
If you need to expedite your order via Next Day or 2nd Day Delivery Service, Please call us at _________________________. As long as we have the item in stock, we can ship it same day.Reefs Outlet orders are delivered Monday through Friday. However, for an additional fee, you may have your order delivered on Saturday and it is available only upon request, so make sure to contact us at _______________________ to request Saturday delivery.
Live species (fish, coral, live, rock, frozen foods, etc. are considered *Exclusions* orders and will be shipped next day and does not qualify for free shipping and will include acclimation information and a signature is required.

Oversize or overweight items, such as tanks/aquariums, stands &canopies, chillers, substrates, large sumps, pumps may incur additional shipping charges. These special-handling fees will be displayed on the product page and/or during check-out. Our shopping cart is able to calculate express shipping rates. We have 1 or 2 dealers who offer free shipping on their aquarium tanks, stands and canopies.

ReefsOutlet.com offers FREE standard ground shipping via USPS, UPS or FedEx Ground on orders of $75 or more for orders that are not part of our *Exclusions*policy containing non-overweight or oversize items (orders which do not qualify for our FREE shipping promotion will still be shipped at a discounted rate). We have a few dealers of aquarium tanks and other large heavy items that do offer free shipping, so make sure to look for the special “Free Shipping” seal on these special items.
Policies & Exclusions
• Offer valid only on orders shipping within the contiguous United States. Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam or other US Territories do not qualify for this promotion.
• This promotion does not apply to items requiring expedited shipping, such as refrigerated products, frozen products, live rock, fish, corals, livestock.
• ReefsOutlet.com FREE shipping promotion does not include products sent in oversized or particularly heavy boxes.
• Shipping surcharges, such as special handling, freight items, etc. are NOT covered under ReefsOutlet.com FREE shipping promotion.
• Shipping charges for returned merchandise is non-refundable.
• These exclusions are necessary in order for us to be able to offer this type of promotion to our customers. We do our best to discount shipping as much as possible to make buying items from our online marketplace affordable.
If a shipment is refused or marked “returned to shipper”, we will issue a credit to the customer less a 20% restocking fee. If not all of the items were refused or returned, we will then issue a credit for what was returned less restocking fee. Frozen foods and live orders are only fully covered on the first delivery attempt. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the receipt of the package on the day of delivery.
If your merchandise arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of arrival. All damage claims must be filed with your carrier. We are more than happy to provide you with assistance during this process. Please note that orders cannot be returned, cancelled, or rejected due to shipping delays unless express service was requested at the time of ordering.
If a package is damaged by UPS, FedEx, Airborne Express, or DHL, we will file the claim with the carrier.
If a package is damaged via USPS, the customer will file the claim with the carrier.
International orders are processed and shipped a bit differently than orders sent within the contiguous United States. Please reference the shipping table below and continue reading afterward for terms, conditions and general things to keep in mind.
International orders are not eligible for free shipping and additional surcharges may apply. It is important to note that not all products can be shipped internationally.
International customers may purchase using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and PayPal for orders up to $1,500. Any brokerage fees, tariffs and/or taxes will be billed to you directly by the shipping courier. International customers placing their first order with us must fax or email a copy of the front and back of their credit card along with a copy of a photo ID that has the billing address printed on it. This is a precautionary measure to protect you and our company from fraudulent activity.
International customers must use the same billing and shipping address. If you are an international customer and would like your order sent to an alternate address, you must first contact your credit card company and request that they add the alternate shipping address to their records or you can pre-pay for the order using PayPal or a bank wire transfer. All first-time international orders over $1000 must be paid via bank wire transfer. We will email you the wire transfer information after you've placed the order.
Customers are solely responsible for any shipping charges incurred when sending back defective merchandise including but not limited to brokerage fees, taxes and tariffs. Warranties for some products are handled directly by the manufacturer. Please click here for details.
NOTE: Please contact your country's Customs Department for current regulations regarding the importation of the items you intend to order. Some countries require you to obtain a permit before importing certain products, such as foods, additives and test kits. All orders and portions thereof returned to ReefsOutlet.com will be considered refused packages and automatically assessed a 20% restocking fee.
